On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Vanj district commissioned the enterprise for the production of calcite, processing of marble and decorative stones of the Closed Joint-Stock Company "Marmar Stone", the press service of the head of state reported.

Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the production line and capabilities of the calcite production plant and had a sincere conversation with the employees.

It was reported that the calcite production plant has the capacity to produce 40 thousand tons of products per year.

The enterprise operates on the basis of local raw materials. It was built on the site of a huge reserve of white marble, from which microcalcite is produced.

According to the tests conducted, local raw materials are of high quality and meet international standards.

The company also uses recycled marble chips, meaning that the production process here is waste-free, which is considered one of the advantages of this workshop.

The company has four production lines that produce various types of microcalcite. Using modern technology, the new company produces microcalcite from 2 to 500 microns, providing permanent employment for 40 local residents.

Microcalcite is widely used in industry; more than 90% of equipment and devices, building materials and household items, various machinery and chemical products are made from it.

In particular, calcite powder is used to produce plastic doors and windows, multilayer pipes, all types of transport wheels, finishing materials, toothpaste, paper and home paints. For this reason, these products are the best-selling products in the domestic and global markets.

The new enterprise is capable of fully satisfying the needs of the Tajik industry for microcalcium of various sizes. At the same time, the products of this enterprise are import-substituting and are competitive in the market.

Based on the stock of products of the new enterprise, the responsible persons are trying to establish the production of finished industrial products.

The head of state was informed that with the implementation of this goal, the total number of employees of the enterprise will be increased by local residents, and all of them will undergo retraining courses.

The manufactured products are tested in a modern laboratory created at the enterprise and are offered to customers in accordance with international standards.

The enterprise was created in the framework of the implementation of the instructions and orders of the Head of State on the use and processing of Tajikistan’s rich natural resources.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon commissioned marble and decorative stone processing workshops near a calcite production plant and visited an exhibition of finished products.

The construction of the enterprises is being carried out within the framework of the Action Plan dedicated to the great national holiday – the 35th anniversary of State independence, and its commissioning contributes to the development of industry.

It was reported that the construction of such enterprises is not a new experience in the country; workshops for processing marble and decorative stones are considered the largest in terms of area and production capacity.

Currently, taking into account the activities of all workshops, more than 100 local residents are employed; in the future, as the volume of production increases, the number of workers will increase.

Processing of raw materials and their transformation into finished products is considered an important issue in all industries. Taking this into account, the raw materials supplied by the Marmar Stone manufacturing enterprise from the natural resources of Tajikistan are presented to customers after complete processing. With the adoption of these measures, sustainable and effective steps will be taken to achieve the fourth national goal – accelerated industrialization of the country and the implementation of the points of the Strategy for the Development of the Industrial Sphere in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.

The marble and decorative stone processing workshops will be equipped with new generation digital equipment, and the capacity for the production of decorative tiles or so-called mosaics in the workshops will be 10 thousand cubic meters, and for the processing of marble stone – 160 thousand cubic meters per year.

Emomali Rahmon was informed that the enterprises of the Marmar Stone company are intended as a base for the production of export-oriented products, and also play an effective role in satisfying domestic demand.

Previously, the stone mined from Vanj district and other areas of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region was transported at great expense for processing to other enterprises in the country, and then the finished products were sent abroad and delivered to domestic customers. As soon as these enterprises begin to operate, work in this direction will be facilitated, and finished products will be offered to customers at affordable prices.

In order to create the necessary infrastructure and create working conditions, the administration of these production workshops leveled, widened and reconstructed the road to the Poymazor mine, from the main road to the village of Poymazor in the Vanj district and to the Dashtak mine, and also completely repaired the roads to the location of the enterprise.

In order to supply the enterprise with electricity, a power transmission line with a capacity of 35 kilowatts (kW) with a total length of 27 km was laid, which provides electricity to the enterprise and residents of 4 villages in the Vanj district.

During his tour of the Marmar Stone complex, President Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the initiators for coordinating and implementing the country's goals in the area of industrial development and appreciated the use of internal resources – available raw materials – in the interests of the work.

Emomali Rahmon instructed responsible officials to periodically satisfy domestic demand from their own sources and to contribute to further increasing the level of well-being of the people.

Here, the President of the country visited an exhibition of finished products from factories.

The enterprises of JSC Marmar Stone process more than 20 types of natural stones, producing high-quality products. Marble slabs, paving stones of various sizes, fountains, carved columns, stair railings, window sills, columns, pillars and other decorative stone products make up the list of products manufactured by the enterprises, and all this is made with high national craftsmanship.

The head of state highly praised the quality of the products, their design and cutting, and gave advice and recommendations to responsible persons on increasing the production capacity of the workshops.

In turn, the responsible officials expressed gratitude to Emomali Rahmon for creating conditions and supporting the private sector and promised to continue to contribute to ensuring the country's progress and the implementation of the creative goals of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The company's management decided to build another workshop with more than 60 jobs on the premises of the company in order to meet demand and increase production capacity.
