Tajiks to get new opportunities to study and practice in the UK

Representatives of the State Institution "Center for International Programs" under the Government of Tajikistan held talks with the leadership of the University of Greenwich (UK) on expanding cooperation in education and science. The meeting took place within the framework of developing international cooperation and creating new academic opportunities for Tajik students, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for the education of Tajik citizens at one of the leading universities in the UK, including issues of education quality, organization of internships, and mechanisms for financial support for students. Particular emphasis was placed on the areas of training in economics, finance, and management. The university management reported that students in these specialties are sent for internships at major banks and financial institutions in the country, which helps to improve their professional qualifications and competitiveness in the international labor market.

The University of Greenwich, founded in 1890, is one of the prestigious British universities. Currently, the educational institution offers over 250 educational programs in the fields of business, engineering, social sciences, health care and pedagogy. The university has a modern material and technical base, digital technologies, a developed library network and international infrastructure. Its branches operate in London, Kent and Medway.

The parties also discussed the possibility of providing scholarships and other types of financial support to Tajik students based on both national and international programs. An agreement was reached to continue cooperation and expand academic exchange programs.

According to experts, the implementation of such initiatives helps strengthen educational ties between Tajikistan and the UK, and also creates favorable conditions for the professional growth of young specialists from Tajikistan.

Thanks to the priority policy in the field of education, carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, all conditions are being created for the country's youth to receive a quality education in the best universities in the world.
