Bokhtar hosts mini-football tournament for the City Chairman's Cup

The city mini-football tournament for the City Chairman's Cup has started in the city of Bokhtar in the Khatlon region. According to the press service of the executive body of state power of Bokhtar, the sporting event was organized on the initiative and with the support of the city chairman Abdulmadzhid Muminzoda as part of the celebration of World Football Day.

The tournament is held among teams of state, private and public organizations of the city. More than 20 teams participate in the competition, which include employees of various departments and enterprises – teachers, doctors, law enforcement officers, representatives of the business community and other areas.

Representatives of the executive authorities, the Department of Youth and Sports, and football veterans took part in the tournament opening ceremony. During the official part, the participants were wished success, fair play, and strengthening of the corporate spirit.

"This tournament has become a good tradition in the sports life of the city of Bokhtar and is aimed not only at developing football and physical culture, but also at strengthening friendship, cohesion and healthy competition between teams of various organizations," the press service of the city administration noted.

The tournament will be held in several stages, the final games are scheduled for the end of May. The winners will be awarded the Bokhtar City Chairman's Cup, as well as medals and memorable prizes. In addition, the organizing committee has provided special awards for the best player, best goalkeeper and best scorer of the tournament.

The city authorities and the tournament organizers expressed confidence that holding such events promotes a healthy lifestyle, increases youth interest in sports, and strengthens interdepartmental ties and develops corporate culture.

According to the Department of Youth and Sports of Bokhtar, more than 30 sporting events of various levels and formats are planned for the current year, including volleyball, basketball and chess tournaments.
