The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Khokim Kholikzoda is taking part in the 58th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank, which began its work on May 4 in Milan (Italy). This was reported by NIAT "Khovar" with reference to the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the first day of the meeting, the delegation of Tajikistan held meetings with Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Ingmin Yang, Director General of the Central and West Asia Department Evgeny Zhukov, and ADB Executive Director Vikas Sheel.

During the meetings, various aspects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the ADB support project for the construction of the Rogun HPP. The Bank reaffirmed its readiness to allocate $500 million for the implementation of this important project, which will make a significant contribution to the "green" development of not only Tajikistan, but also neighboring countries.
The delegation also took part in a consultative session of the Asian Development Fund, which mobilizes resources from various sources to implement grant projects in the least developed and developing countries. Tajikistan is one of the largest recipients of grants from this fund.
