As of July 1, 2026, Tajikistan's public debt amounted to $3.4 billion, equivalent to 16% of the country's gross domestic product. This was announced by Tajikistan's Minister of Finance, Fayziddin Kahorzoda, at a press conference.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the situation with public debt management remains stable and is under constant control.
As the minister noted, Tajikistan is fulfilling all debt obligations on time, and no difficulties are encountered in repaying its external public debt.




The Ministry of Finance emphasized that effective public debt management is a key area of financial policy aimed at maintaining the country's macroeconomic stability.
Following the results of the first half of the year, the agency also announced its intention to continue work to strengthen financial stability, improve the efficiency of public fund management, and expand cooperation with international financial institutions.
