Tajikistan's gross agricultural output from January to June 2026 reached 28.83 billion somoni , an increase of 7.2% compared to the same period last year. This was reported today at a press conference at the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The volume of crop production amounted to 18.27 billion somoni , an increase of 5% , and livestock production amounted to 10.56 billion somoni , which is 11.1% more than last year’s level.
Over the course of six months, the republic produced more than 1.28 million tons of vegetables , 632.6 thousand tons of grain , 286 thousand tons of potatoes , 565.6 thousand tons of melons and 258.7 thousand tons of fruit .


Compared to last year, production of potatoes ( 6.8% ), vegetables ( 5.3% ), and onions ( 9.9% ) increased. However, the harvest of grains, melons, fruits, grapes, and forage crops decreased.
Livestock production also continues to grow. As of July 1, the cattle population reached 3.1 million heads , an increase of 8.6% , while the sheep and goat population reached 8.35 million heads , an increase of 11.7% compared to last year.
There was also an increase in the production of meat ( 15.9% ), milk ( 6.5% ), eggs ( 3.3% ), wool ( 5.5% ), honey ( 6.6% ) and silkworm cocoons ( 36.2% ).
