According to the results of the first half of 2026 , more than 15,500 women entrepreneurs are operating in Dushanbe, which indicates the continued growth of female entrepreneurship and the expansion of women's participation in the capital's economy.
This was announced today at a press conference on the results of the socio-economic development of Dushanbe for the first half of 2026.
According to representatives of the city's executive government, supporting women's entrepreneurship remains a priority for state policy. The capital is implementing programs to promote women's employment, expand their economic opportunities, develop family businesses, and increase entrepreneurial activity.

According to the city administration, women are actively working in trade, services, food service, manufacturing, education, healthcare, handicrafts, and small business. Training programs and consulting support are organized for them, and opportunities are created for them to receive preferential financing and participate in government entrepreneurship development programs.
The authorities note that increasing the number of women entrepreneurs contributes to the creation of new jobs, increased incomes, and the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Particular attention is being paid to supporting young entrepreneurs, family businesses, and projects run by women in the manufacturing sector.
The Dushanbe administration emphasized that the further development of women's entrepreneurship is considered a key factor in the capital's sustainable socioeconomic development. Efforts to support women's entrepreneurial initiatives will continue in the second half of the year.
