Tajikistan has taken additional measures to develop human resources in the field of information and communications technology. This was announced by the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan at a press conference summarizing the results of the first half of 2026.
As the Agency noted, the adoption of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Remuneration and Additional Payments to Employees in the Information and Communications Technology Sector" has created favorable conditions for attracting and training competitive domestic specialists.
According to the agency, the decree's implementation will improve the quality of human resources in the industry, creating the foundation for accelerating digitalization processes and increasing the efficiency of public service delivery.
The Agency emphasized that the adoption of the document made it possible to fully resolve one of the three main problems in the industry—a shortage of highly qualified specialists, which was primarily due to uncompetitive wage levels compared to the private sector.
In addition, during the reporting period, regulatory legal acts were developed and put into effect that define the legal basis for the further development of the sphere of innovation and digital technologies.
