In the first half of 2026, sowing work was carried out in forest nurseries of the Forestry Agency of Tajikistan on a total area of 45.2 hectares, the agency reported.
According to the Agency, the cultivation of planting material is being carried out for the further restoration of forests, landscaping of populated areas, and the implementation of environmental projects.


The largest areas were occupied by apricot crops – 8.57 hectares, evergreen and ornamental tree species – 12.05 hectares, almonds – 5.1 hectares, walnuts – 3.43 hectares, peaches – 3.95 hectares, cherry plums – 2.95 hectares, apple trees – 1.42 hectares, mulberries – 0.94 hectares, junipers – 1.06 hectares, elm – 1.28 hectares, as well as other forest-forming and fruit trees – 4.45 hectares.
The Agency emphasized that the development of nurseries is an important part of state policy to increase forest area, preserve biodiversity, and provide the country with its own planting material.
