On July 12, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram of condolences to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the death of his father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the presidential press service reported.
In his address, the head of state noted that Tajikistan received the news of his grave loss with deep sorrow. Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the deceased will be remembered as an outstanding political and public figure who made a significant contribution to the development of friendly relations and constructive cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar.
The President expressed his sincere condolences to the Emir of Qatar, his family members and the brotherly people of the country, and conveyed words of support in connection with the grief that has befallen them.
At the end of the telegram, Emomali Rahmon wished that the Almighty would rest the soul of the deceased in His mercy, grant his family and friends patience and fortitude, concluding the message with the words: “Truly, we belong to Allah, and to Him we will return.”
