The 69th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification (ICSC) was held from July 8 to 10, 2026, in Baet village, Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyzstan. The event was organized by the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, jointly with the ICSC Standards Bureau. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was attended by heads and specialists from national standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, and accreditation bodies from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the IGU Standards Bureau, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Eurasian Economic Commission also participated.



Mikhail Myskin, Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the CIS Executive Committee, addressed the meeting participants with a welcoming address. He emphasized that standardization, metrology, and conformity assessment are the foundation of trust in mutual trade and an important basis for eliminating technical barriers. He stated that most of the agenda items are set out in the Action Plan for the implementation of the second stage of the CIS Economic Development Strategy to 2030.
Mikhail Myskin also noted that the approved Plan for 2026–2030 is under the close scrutiny of the highest CIS bodies, and the Executive Committee is ready to provide the Interstate Council with comprehensive support in its implementation. Particular attention was paid in his speech to the need to expedite the approval of the draft Agreement on Technical Barriers to Mutual Trade.
During the meeting, participants considered more than 30 issues related to the Council's work and the implementation of the IGU Development Strategy to 2030, international cooperation, interstate standardization programs, metrological support, the development of conformity assessment and accreditation, improvement of the CIS regulatory framework, and other areas of activity.
The meeting also included the 2nd International Conference "Commonwealth with the Quality Mark," dedicated to strategic and applied issues of quality, digitalization, and personnel training.



Participants also attended the awards ceremony for the 2025 CIS Prize for achievements in product and service quality. Twenty-five organizations from CIS member states were nominated for the award.
Ten organizations were recognized as laureates of the Prize, including one organization each from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, two from Kazakhstan, three from Belarus, and three from the Russian Federation.
Fifteen organizations won diplomas in the competition: two from Belarus, three from Kazakhstan, one from Kyrgyzstan, three from the Russian Federation, one from Tajikistan, and five from Uzbekistan.
