During operational search operations, Tajik police officers uncovered several thefts committed in Dushanbe and the Panj district. According to law enforcement, minors were involved in some of the crimes.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, officers from the Sino District Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 detained a 32-year-old resident of the Khuroson District on suspicion of theft.
According to the agency, on June 15, 2026, at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Nizami Ganjavi Street in the Sino district, a man secretly stole an electric moped abandoned near a flatbread shop. The vehicle is valued at 4,100 somoni.
Two more cases of vehicle theft were reported in the Panj district. Two residents contacted the local police department, reporting the loss of motorcycles near their homes.
According to police, unknown individuals stole a Carola Ferrari motorcycle worth 7,000 somoni and a Super Diamond motorcycle valued at 10,500 somoni.
During the course of operational investigative activities, police officers in the Panj district established that two minors were involved in the commission of these crimes.
Another minor was detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of stealing money from a car.
Officers from the OMVD-1 for the Firdavsi district detained a 14-year-old resident of the Rudaki district.
According to investigators, on the night of July 4-5, 2026, on Borbad Street in Dushanbe, a teenager secretly stole 4,540 somoni from an Opel Astra and then fled the scene.
The investigation into all identified facts is ongoing.
