Three new enterprises in the Sughd Free Economic Zone have created over 180 jobs. They specialize in rice processing, chemical raw materials, and the production of school backpacks.
On July 8, 2026, during a working visit to the Sughd region, Tajikistan's Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, inspected the operations of Sughd Agro Trade LLC, Sintai Metal Sughd LLC, and Somon Case LLC. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
During his visit to the enterprises, the Minister met with their managers and representatives.


As the Ministry noted, the country's free economic zones have created the necessary conditions for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and investors to open modern manufacturing facilities.
Three new enterprises are engaged in the production, processing, and innovative packaging of import-substituting and export-oriented products. They have created over 180 new jobs.
Sugd Agro Trade LLC specializes in the production, processing, and innovative packaging of rice. The company's capacity allows it to process up to 30,000 tons of rice per year.





Sintai Metal Sugd LLC is engaged in the recycling of chemical raw materials. The plant's production capacity is up to 3,000 tons of manganese and antimony per year.
Somon Case LLC specializes in the production of school backpacks. The company produces up to 3,000 units monthly.
The Ministry emphasized that the development of modern manufacturing facilities in free economic zones is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, aimed at creating favorable conditions for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and investors.
