In Khujand, 100 orphans from the cities of Khujand, Buston, Guliston, and Istiklol received gifts from Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. The event took place as part of the head of state's working visit to the Sughd region, according to the press service of the mayor of Khujand.
The meeting with the children took place in the newly built restaurant "Todzh".
On behalf of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, gifts were presented to each student by Presidential Aide Anvar Safarzoda, Minister of Education and Science Rahim Saidzoda, Minister of Health and Social Protection Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, Deputy Chairman of the Sughd Region Anvar Yakubi, and Mayor of the City of Khujand Firdavs Sharifzoda.






On this day, a festive table was also organized for children and a colorful cultural program was presented.
During the event, it was noted that ongoing care for orphans and children left without parental care, families in need, and people with disabilities, as well as the creation of necessary conditions for these categories of the population, occupy a central place in the policy of the Government of Tajikistan.
The meeting participants emphasized that providing support to those in need, caring for orphans, and the desire to bring joy to those in difficult life situations are considered among the noble qualities of the Tajik people.
These values also include support and care for people with disabilities and others in need. It was noted that these traditions originate in the rich culture and civilization of the Tajik people.





The children expressed joy at receiving gifts from the head of state and thanked President Emomali Rahmon for his constant care and attention.
During the meeting, officials encouraged the orphans to take advantage of the opportunities created for them, study hard, gain knowledge, and master professions so that they can become educated and patriotic citizens of their country in the future.
It was particularly noted that throughout the 35 years of State independence, orphans, children left without parental care, and low-income families have consistently been under the direct attention of the head of state.
As noted at the meeting, all available opportunities are being used to improve the living conditions of these categories of the population.
