On July 7, Tajikistan's Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurakhmon Abdurakhmonzoda, met with Chen Xiaodong, Chairman of the China International Cooperation and Development Agency (CIDCA). The ministry's press service reported this.
During the talks, the parties praised the level of Tajik-Chinese relations. It was noted that, thanks to the policies of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Chinese President Xi Jinping, relations between the two countries have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The meeting participants discussed further strengthening cooperation in attracting grants and technical assistance.
Particular attention was paid to the development of Dushanbe's transport infrastructure and the construction of a modern waste processing plant with electrical energy generation.
The parties also discussed issues of human capital development and the implementation of infrastructure projects.
During the meeting, the expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the areas of education, healthcare, and public utilities, as well as the development of a green economy, were discussed.
Another topic of discussion was attracting investment to Tajikistan's free economic zones.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen practical cooperation and implement the agreements reached at the highest level.
Tajikistan and China also expressed their willingness to jointly promote mutually beneficial projects.
