Tajikistan plans to integrate the basics of artificial intelligence into the general education system. The country's Ministry of Education and Science and zypl.ai have agreed to collaborate on developing curricula, materials, and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.
On July 7, 2026, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Khomid Khoshimzoda met with representatives of zypl.ai at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in the development and implementation of solutions, products, and educational materials in the field of artificial intelligence.
The meeting participants discussed the integration of artificial intelligence fundamentals into the general education system. They discussed the development of curricula, textbooks, and teaching aids, teacher training, and the responsible use of digital technologies.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Khomid Khoshimzoda stated that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks the beginning of a new stage in the development of digital education and the preparation of students, teachers, and educational institutions for the demands of the modern digital world.
The meeting noted that artificial intelligence has become one of the most important areas of development in science and technology, economics, management, healthcare, industry, and education. Therefore, its study is of strategic importance for students.
According to the meeting participants, in today's environment, schoolchildren must not only use technology but also understand its nature, capabilities, and limitations. Particular attention must also be paid to existing risks and rules for the safe use of digital technologies.
It is expected that the study of artificial intelligence fundamentals will be implemented on a scientific and methodological basis, in stages, and taking into account the actual conditions of the country's educational institutions. This will take into account the level of teacher training, infrastructure capabilities, and the specific characteristics of the national educational environment.
The Ministry of Education and Science emphasized the importance of leveraging best international practices. At the same time, educational materials are expected to be adapted to the requirements of Tajikistan's national education system.
The collaboration with zypl.ai involves the development of a standard curriculum on artificial intelligence. The parties also intend to prepare textbooks, teaching aids, workbooks, digital materials, and assessment criteria.

In addition, there are plans to organize training courses for teachers and students, train trainers, and develop lesson plans and methodological recommendations.
Educational materials should be developed in the state language using simple and understandable examples that are close to the daily life of Tajik students.
The goal of this work is to ensure that schoolchildren perceive artificial intelligence as a modern tool for learning, analysis and creativity and use it responsibly.
The meeting focused on protecting children's rights, information security, and personal data. The parties also discussed copyright compliance, transparency, and the appropriate use of artificial intelligence in the educational environment.
It was emphasized that artificial intelligence should not replace human knowledge, thinking, and responsibility. It is intended to be used as an auxiliary tool in the educational process.
The meeting participants also discussed the possibility of organizing competitions, olympiads, and educational events. Meetings with parents and the preparation of informational materials were discussed.
Participants believe such measures will contribute to improving society's digital culture and fostering a responsible attitude toward the use of new technologies.
The Ministry of Education and Science noted that collaboration with zypl.ai is in line with the state's digitalization policy for education and the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Tajikistan through 2040.
The collaboration aims to develop digital competencies in teachers and students, strengthen analytical thinking, creativity, and responsibility, and enhance the competitiveness of human capital.
