On July 7, 2026, Finance Minister Fayziddin Sattor Qahhorzoda met with Chen Xiaodong, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan.
During the talks, the parties discussed strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China in attracting grant funds and implementing priority development projects.


Particular attention was paid to the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as the energy sector. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of hydropower and green energy projects, as well as support for other sectors of the country.
A separate topic of the meeting was expanding cooperation in the digitalization of public finance management. Representatives from Tajikistan and China also discussed strengthening technical cooperation, training specialists, and implementing joint priority projects.


Following the meeting, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and the China International Development Cooperation Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding on priority projects in the field of development and bilateral cooperation.
The parties noted that further expansion of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of priority projects are important for the sustainable socio-economic development of Tajikistan and the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China.
