Two people were killed and two more were seriously injured in a traffic accident in the Ayni district of Tajikistan, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The accident occurred on June 30 at approximately 5:45 a.m. on the 112th kilometer of the Khujand-Dushanbe-Chanak highway, in the Anzob rural jamoat of the Ayni district.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 26-year-old Isfara resident Shukhrat Rakhimov, driving a Velmaster electric vehicle with state registration number 99-00 UL 02, lost control and collided with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was driven by 32-year-old resident of the Bobojon-Gafurov district, Jamol Eshmanov.
As a result of the accident, the passengers of the electric vehicle—27-year-old Khujand resident Anisa Khuseinova and 19-year-old Asliddin Gulomnabiyev, also a Khujand resident—died at the scene from their injuries.
The driver of the electric vehicle and another passenger in the vehicle received serious injuries and were hospitalized.
An investigation is being conducted into this incident.
