During a working visit to the city of Penjikent, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda visited the M. Kiyomov farm, where he inspected the progress of the early potato harvest. This was reported by the Sughd Region administration press service.
According to information provided to the regional head, the farm achieved a good harvest thanks to the use of high-yielding seed and adherence to agricultural practices. Potato harvesting is currently underway, and is being supplied to the domestic market.
During the visit, special attention was paid to organizing replanting after the early harvest. It was noted that this year, potatoes are being grown in Penjikent on an area of over 2,500 hectares, and that replanting will be carried out on the vacated lands after the harvest.

According to the approved plan, in 2026, replanting will be carried out on a total area of 3,878 hectares in rural jamoats of Penjikent. Potatoes, vegetables, melons, grain corn, legumes, sunflowers, and other crops are planned for cultivation on these lands.
During a meeting with farmers, Rajab Akhmadzoda instructed them to ensure the use of high-quality seeds, adhere to agricultural standards, use water resources efficiently, implement modern technologies, and conduct replanting in a timely manner.

During his visit, the regional governor inspected the operation of Penjikent's pumping stations. It was emphasized that their uninterrupted operation is crucial for ensuring the timely supply of irrigation water to agricultural lands and increasing crop yields. Responsible officials were given specific instructions to improve the operation of the pumping stations and ensure a stable water supply.
Concluding his working visit, Rajab Akhmadzoda visited labor veterans Farkhod Karobkov, Khursheda Giyosova, and Guldzhekhra Ansorova.
