On June 21–22, Russian forces launched a series of massive strikes on several regions of Ukraine using missiles, drones, and guided bombs. The attacks killed at least ten people, injured dozens more, and damaged residential buildings, infrastructure, and businesses.

According to Ukrainian authorities, the most severe consequences were recorded in the Zaporizhzhia region, where five people were killed as a result of guided bomb strikes. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that another 26 people were injured.

In the Poltava region, two people were killed and 14 others were injured in an attack, including six children. According to local authorities, the strikes hit two businesses, and residential buildings were also damaged. The Poltava community has declared a day of mourning for the victims.

A 40-year-old man was killed in a Russian drone attack in the Kherson region. Seven more people were injured in various areas of the region.

A 70-year-old woman was killed in shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Nine people were also injured in the Sinelnyky district. An apartment building, private homes, a lyceum, a gymnasium, cars, and outbuildings were damaged.

In the Kharkiv region, a woman was killed and 13 others were injured as a result of a drone strike on a car.

Later on the night of June 22, a Russian attack drone struck a multi-story residential building in Kharkiv's Shevchenkivskyi district. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the strike hit the building's façade at the 22nd floor level. The strike caused a fire, shattering approximately ten windows. The fire was quickly extinguished. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries.

Throughout the night, Russian forces also launched strikes on the Sumy region using drones and artillery. According to the Ukrainian side, at least six people were injured.

In Odessa, as a result of the attacks, part of the central districts of the city were left without power, and several transport companies were without power.

Furthermore, on the evening of June 21, Russian forces launched an Iskander ballistic missile strike on an agricultural enterprise in the Odesa district of the Odesa region. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and three others were injured.

The missile strike caused a fire, damaging warehouses, vehicles, and fuel tanks. Emergency services were on the scene.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of June 21, Russia used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, two Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, and 105 drones of various types, including Shahed attack drones and other devices.

Ukrainian air defense forces reported the destruction of 96 drones over various regions of the country. According to the military, missile and attack drone strikes were recorded in several populated areas, as well as debris falls in a number of districts.

Amid ongoing attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an agreement with Germany to purchase 600 missiles for air defense systems. He stated that the corresponding contract had already been signed with German manufacturers.
