On June 20, during a working visit to the Khovaling district, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon opened a tourist village in the village of Ghaffor Mirzo. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The new facility was created for tourists to relax and explore. Construction began in March 2025 and was completed on schedule, covering an area of over one hectare, by local entrepreneur Abdullo Hasanzoda.
During the construction period, 85 people were provided with temporary employment, and after the facility was commissioned, 20 local residents received permanent jobs.

The rural tourist lodge is located in the southeastern part of the Khovaling district, 9.5 kilometers from the district center. Its grounds include a spacious restaurant with a capacity of 50 guests, a fire pit decorated in a historical architectural style, play and entertainment areas, walking paths, and flower beds.
As noted, in recent years, special attention has been paid to the development of tourism as a key component of the national economy. Favorable conditions are being created to promote the history, culture, and unique natural beauty of Tajikistan. In this regard, the rural tourist lodge was created to introduce visitors to the traditional way of life of the Tajik people, and its architecture reflects the finest examples of national architecture.
All buildings and structures in the complex are constructed in a traditional style. Their appearance is reminiscent of ancient Tajik houses. The use of traditional architectural elements, carved terraces, decorative walls, and landscaped landscaping lend the complex a distinctive appeal and national character.

According to the project's organizers, the rural tourist lodge could play a significant role in attracting domestic and international tourists. The complex allows guests not only to enjoy the area's picturesque natural landscapes but also to gain a closer understanding of the ancient culture and civilizational heritage of the Tajik people.
It is noted that this initiative could contribute to an increase in tourist flow, the development of the service sector, the creation of new jobs, and an improvement in the socio-economic situation of the region.
During his tour of the facility, Emomali Rahmon praised the level and quality of the work performed, calling the project a worthy example of the effective use of tourism potential and the revival of national traditions.

The head of state also emphasized that the creation of such centers is of great importance for promoting independent Tajikistan on the international stage and could make a significant contribution to attracting more foreign tourists.
Following the opening of the rural tourist house, Emomali Rahmon was presented with the achievements of agricultural producers in the Khovaling district.
The exhibition featured a variety of agricultural products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, melons, honey, and other locally produced goods.
During the tour, special attention was paid to the results of farmers' labor and opportunities for further development of the district's agricultural sector. It was emphasized that efficient use of land resources and increasing domestic agricultural production are key to ensuring the country's food security.
