On June 18, 2026, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pizishkion. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the Tajik state congratulated the people and leadership of Iran on the achievement of peace agreements between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized the particular significance of the document signed by the two heads of state, calling it a crucial step toward ensuring lasting peace in the Middle East and beyond. He stated that the agreements reached are key to strengthening international stability and creating conditions for sustainable development.
The President of Tajikistan also conveyed his wishes for peace, stability and security to the people of Iran.
During the telephone conversation, the parties discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran. The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further developing and expanding Tajik-Iranian relations.
In addition, a readiness was expressed to implement joint practical steps aimed at achieving new mutually beneficial results and strengthening cooperation between the two states.
