On June 17, 2026, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan held a training seminar dedicated to revising the Package of State Guarantees for Medical Services and identifying priority areas for its further improvement. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Opening the event, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection Abdukholik Amirzoda welcomed the seminar participants and emphasized the strategic importance of developing a guaranteed package of medical services to achieve the goals of the National Health Strategy and ensure universal health coverage.

The workshop is attended by representatives of technical working groups, development partners and international organizations, including University College London (UCL), Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc), the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the Healthy Nation Tajikistan project, M-Vector, as well as leading industry specialists and experts.
During the presentations, it was noted that the main goal of revising the State Guarantees Package is to ensure the population has access to the most important and effective medical services, primarily at the primary health care level.

It was also reported that in recent months, in collaboration with technical working groups, an analysis of the current service package was conducted, a mapping of medical interventions was carried out, these were compared with international recommendations, and an evidence base was prepared for further decision-making.
During the seminar, participants will evaluate medical services in accordance with agreed criteria and prioritize them for inclusion in the updated State Guarantees Package.

It is expected that following the discussions, an agreed-upon list of services, categorized by priority level, will be formed, which will form the basis for developing an updated Package of State Guarantees for Medical Services.
The seminar is being held as part of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan's collaboration with international partners and aims to strengthen the healthcare system and increase access to high-quality medical services for the population.
