On June 10, 2026, in the city of Kazan, Russian Federation, a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, took part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the CSTO member states exchanged views on multilateral cooperation within the organization and discussed the adoption of effective measures to respond to regional and international challenges and threats in the CSTO's area of responsibility.


Following the meeting, the ministers signed decisions aimed at further improving the organization's effectiveness.
In addition, joint statements were adopted in connection with the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, on the prevention of an arms race in outer space, the need to counter the threats of the use of information and communication technologies for sabotage and terrorist purposes, and strengthening the role of international law and commitment to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.





The meeting participants paid special attention to the issue of accelerating the implementation of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border.
