Tajik blogger, chef, and food blogger Zarifjon Khodjiboev, known by his pseudonym DjoniTedj ("Uncle Zarif"), won the second season of the popular Russian culinary show "Housewives vs. Chefs: Battle for Taste."
In the competition final, he presented qurutob—an authentic and one of the oldest dishes in Tajik cuisine, rightfully considered a gastronomic symbol of Tajikistan. Thanks to his masterful execution and original presentation, Zarifjon captivated the jury and won the project's grand prize.
The chef has managed to harmoniously combine the rich heritage of national cuisine with modern gastronomic trends, demonstrating that traditional Tajik dishes can surprise and find recognition among a wide audience.
Zarifjon Khodjiboev's victory was not only a personal achievement but also a powerful opportunity to introduce viewers to Tajikistan's unique culture and culinary traditions.
