Law enforcement officers have uncovered two cases of theft in Dushanbe and the Bobojon Gafurov district, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
According to the department, officers from the Shokhmansur District Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 detained R.K. Bobokalonov, born in 1997 and a resident of Teppai Sharki Street in the district, on suspicion of theft. He had previously been convicted under Articles 244 and 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The investigation established that on the night of June 5, 2026, the suspect secretly entered the premises of Marv Sokhtmon LLC, located on Huseinzoda Street in Dushanbe. From there, he stole a laptop worth $1,500, a drill worth 650 somoni, and an angle grinder worth 350 somoni.
In addition, officers from the OMVD-1 for the Bobojon Gafurov district detained F.M. Khalkulov, born in 1990, a resident of the Matchinsky district, on suspicion of committing theft.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on June 3, 2026, at approximately 3:00 AM, he secretly stole 35 head of small cattle belonging to G.Kh. Turaboev, a resident of the Jabbor Rasulov District, from the lands of Bobojon Gafurov District. The amount of damage caused amounted to 80,150 somoni.
Criminal cases have been opened in both cases. Investigations are ongoing.
