A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Farkhor district of the Khatlon region, killing four people, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
According to the department, on the morning of June 7, 2026, at approximately 6:20 AM, the driver of a Hyundai Starex, Faizali Sharipov, born in 1968, a resident of Ittifok village in the Farkhor district, was traveling from the rural jamoat of Farkhor toward the rural jamoat of Vatan. While en route, he lost control of the vehicle, veered into oncoming traffic, and collided with an Opel Astra driven by Bobokhon Makhsumov, born in 1999, a resident of the same district.
As a result of the accident, the passengers of the Opel Astra – Sangali Kosimov, born in 1995, Jumakhon Kosimov, born in 1996, Makhmadzhon Khakimov, born in 1999, as well as the minor Rakhmatullo Khakimov, born in 2011, residents of the village of Sadokat in the Vatan rural jamoat, received various bodily injuries.
The victims were taken to the Central District Hospital of the Farkhor District, but despite receiving medical assistance, they died from their injuries.
An investigation into the road traffic accident is currently underway.
