During the first five months of 2026, members of the Environmental Volunteers club held 37 "Coastal Cleanup" and 34 "Landscaping Cleanup" environmental events in Dushanbe. This was reported by the Dushanbe Main Department of Environmental Protection.
Environmental events are held regularly. Volunteers participate weekly in cleaning up areas along the capital's canals and rivers from household waste and plastic debris.
Employees of youth, educational, and medical institutions, representatives of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, and residents of Dushanbe are joining the protests.
At the same time, improvement and landscaping work continues in the capital. As of March 30, 2026, 610,289 trees and shrubs had been planted on the city's streets and avenues, as well as in cultural and entertainment parks.
Of the total number of plantings, 140,299 are shade trees, 271,984 are ornamental trees, 105,560 are fruit trees and 92,446 are shrubs.
