An official meeting with a delegation from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) was held at the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The discussions focused on the prospects for the development of the country's startup ecosystem and private sector, according to the press service of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies.
The meeting took place on May 20, 2026, in Dushanbe, at the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies. During the talks, the Agency's leadership presented current initiatives and plans for developing Tajikistan's IT sector.
The parties focused on the activities of the recently established IT Park Dushanbe. The Agency emphasized that the park's launch is an important step toward integrating the private sector into the country's digital economy. It was noted that IT Park Dushanbe provides domestic companies and startups with the necessary infrastructure, tax incentives, and opportunities to enter international markets.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed the Agency's key challenges and priority areas of work within the framework of digital transformation.
SECO representatives, in turn, described ongoing projects and shared their vision for mutually beneficial cooperation with the Tajik side. The Swiss delegation noted the high potential of Tajik IT specialists and expressed their willingness to support projects aimed at fostering innovation.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to implementing joint steps to improve the business climate in the IT sector and create favorable conditions for the development of technological entrepreneurship in Tajikistan.
