In the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr, Dushanbe City Hall has designated designated slaughter sites throughout the capital. This was reported by the city administration's press service.
As noted, specific mahallas and streets have been designated in each district of Dushanbe where residents can legally and safely slaughter animals during the holidays.
In the Shokhmansur region, slaughter of livestock is permitted in the following places:
— Badakhshon-2 mahalla on Shukuhi street, 44; — Khovaron mahalla — Eastern Hills, zone 7; — Chinoro-1 mahalla on Nazarshoev Street, 374; — Khovaron market on Aini street, 259, 7 km area; — mahallas Falakon, Kushteppa, Yakkatut and Chilmekhrob.
In the Firdavsi region the following have been designated for these purposes:
– Kahhorova street next to the Shiri Saodat factory; – Gulbutta mahalla; – microdistrict 63 on Firdavsi street, 99; – microdistrict 65 on Firdavsi street, 35; – microdistrict 46 on Dekhoti street, 3; – Krupskaya's mahalla.
In the Sino district, animal slaughter is permitted at the following addresses:
— Pakhtakor, Pakhtakor street, 70; — Borbad, Turgenev street, 29; — Rohi Nav, R. Nabiev street, 292/2; — Hayoti Nav, houses 74 and 313; — Kamongaron, Khuvaidulloev street, 252; — Dekhi bolo, house 222; — Ispechak-1 next to the US Embassy; — Shodob, house 153, Arguvon mahalla; — Luchobi bolo, house 82; — Lermontov street, 446, Karamishkor mahalla; — Mehkalon street, 50, building 27/3, Hamadoni mahalla.
In the Ismoili Somoni region, slaughter of livestock is permitted:
– on Sabokh street, Sakhbo mahalla; — in Shafak mahalla on Khuchambiei Poyon Street, 121; — in the Nodir mahalla on Nodir street, 52; — in the Varzob hydroelectric power station mahalla on Dekhnavaki street; — in the Chashmasor mahalla on I. Soatov Street, 36.
City authorities reminded that in 2026, Eid al-Qurbon in Tajikistan will officially be celebrated on May 27.
Eid prayers in mosques across the country will take place on this day at 6:00 a.m.
