On May 15, 2026, Somon Air management held a meeting with a Boeing delegation, the airline's press service reported .
During the negotiations, the parties discussed key issues related to the commissioning of new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, the delivery of which to Tajikistan is scheduled for July–August 2026.
The meeting participants focused on operational excellence—a set of measures aimed at increasing operational efficiency and improving airline operations in line with international standards.
The airline noted that expanding its fleet with modern aircraft will allow Somon Air to improve the quality of passenger service, expand its route network, and strengthen its position in the region's civil aviation market.
