During a meeting between Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and executives and representatives of Chinese companies in Beijing on May 11, a number of documents were signed aimed at attracting investment in the country's energy sector, according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
In particular, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan and Guangdong Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development and investment in renewable energy projects in the country.
The document's main objective is to implement green energy projects, utilize renewable energy sources, and attract foreign investment into Tajikistan's energy sector.
Additionally, another Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan and Watchman Group PTE Ltd. The document provides for the study and consideration of the possibility of constructing wind power plants in the Sughd region.
According to the Ministry, the implementation of this initiative will create favorable conditions for the development of renewable energy, the diversification of electricity generation sources, and the introduction of modern technologies in the country's energy sector.
