Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said the Iranian people would soon celebrate a "great victory" in their confrontation with the United States.
According to him, Iran will soon celebrate a victory, after which, as he claims, the sanctions and pressure that have been exerted on the country in recent years will be lifted.
Amid the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump previously stated that the ceasefire between the US and Iran remains in effect.
Trump said the ceasefire remains in effect. He made this statement following the incident involving three American destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz.
Later, the American leader also told reporters that the Iranian side remains interested in concluding a deal with Washington and that negotiations between the US and Iran are ongoing.
In turn, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said on Thursday evening that Tehran is currently considering the US proposal to resolve the situation.
