On May 5, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan between Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddinzoda Akhliddin Nuriddin and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Tajikistan Alenka Sukhadolnik. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations and emphasized the need to diversify export products and expand trade ties as priority areas for further cooperation.


Promising areas of cooperation were also discussed, including pharmaceuticals, hydropower, green technologies, agricultural processing, the textile industry, and information technology.
Taking into account Slovenia's experience in the pharmaceutical industry, the parties proposed to begin negotiations on organizing joint production of medicinal products in Tajikistan.
Following the meeting, the participants expressed their readiness to intensify cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
