From April 30 to May 2, Tajikistan's tourism companies participated in the Bishkek International Tourism Fair 2026 (BITF 2026) in Bishkek, where the country's national stand was presented.
As reported by NIAT Khovar, citing the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Kyrgyz Republic, the country was represented by leading tour operators. The exhibition showcased the republic's tourism potential, its rich historical and cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and wide range of tourism products.
The exhibition discussed issues related to promoting tourism destinations in international markets, attracting investment, developing transport and tourism infrastructure, implementing digital technologies, and expanding international cooperation. Special attention was paid to the development of ecotourism and mountain tourism, the creation of new routes, and improving the quality of tourism services.
On the sidelines of the event, Tajik tour operators held a series of bilateral meetings with foreign partners, during which they discussed prospects for establishing partnerships and expanding cooperation.
Following the exhibition, 11 cooperation agreements were signed between tourism companies from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
It is noted that Tajikistan's participation in BITF 2026 contributed to the promotion of the country's tourism potential on the international stage, the expansion of business contacts, and the development of new markets, confirming the exhibition's importance as an effective platform for tourism.
