Xi Jinping congratulated Chinese workers on International Workers' Day

Ahead of May Day, Xi Jinping congratulated workers across China on International Workers' Solidarity Day. The Chinese President and General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee commended the country's people for their dedicated work and their unity around the Party at a new stage of China's modernization. This year, China celebrates the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party and is also launching the 15th Five-Year Plan for Social and Economic Development. The head of state called on Party committees and officials at all levels to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and farmers, address their concerns, and mobilize and inspire them to strive to realize the country's ambitious development plan. Xi Jinping expressed hope for the active development of a spirit of workmanship, excellence, and dedication, as well as for workers to demonstrate the qualities of true masters of the country.
