Today, April 29, 2026, the final of the 19th International Chinese Language Competition "Chinese Language Bridge" among schoolchildren of Tajikistan was held at the Confucius Institute of the Tajik National University.
The competition, which traditionally serves as a key platform for cultural and humanitarian interaction between Tajikistan and China, was attended by schoolchildren studying Chinese, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, educational institutions, and international organizations.

Distinguished guests addressed the participants, including Wang Guochun, Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Tajikistan, and Safarmamadzoda Safarmamad, Deputy Rector for Science and Innovation at the Tajik National University. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of learning foreign languages as a tool for intercultural dialogue and expanding educational opportunities for young people.

The competition program included several stages aimed at comprehensively assessing the participants' knowledge and skills. In the first round, the students presented prepared speeches in Chinese, as well as creative performances reflecting elements of Chinese culture. The participants demonstrated not only their language proficiency but also their artistry, confidence, and stage presence.
In the second stage, contestants answered questions related to China's history, culture, and modern achievements. The test required rapid thinking, precision, and depth of knowledge.
The final round was the key moment of the competition: participants were asked to prepare an impromptu speech in Chinese based on a random image in a short period of time. It was during this stage that their communication skills, creativity, and ability to freely express themselves were most clearly demonstrated.

Following the competition, the jury determined the winners and runners-up, and also presented special awards in the categories of oratory, artistry, and best creative performances.
The organizers noted that the "Chinese Language Bridge" competition has strengthened its position year after year as a significant educational and cultural platform that promotes youth ties and deepens cooperation between countries.

The event concluded with a traditional awards ceremony and a group photo of participants and guests, symbolizing unity, friendship, and the pursuit of new knowledge.
The competition's final in Dushanbe once again confirmed that language is not just a means of communication, but a bridge connecting cultures, generations, and the future.
