Caring for the upbringing and education of minors is one of the most important and primary responsibilities of every parent. However, as reported by the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in some cases parents fail to fulfill this responsibility properly, resulting in minors being drawn into illegal activities, including vagrancy and begging.
During regular checks, officers from the juvenile affairs unit of the Shokhmansur District Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 repeatedly brought 12-year-old P. F., a resident of Dushanbe, to the police for vagrancy.
As a result of the investigation, it was established that the minor's mother demonstrated an irresponsible attitude towards the upbringing and education of her child, not paying due attention to it.
The relevant documents were filed against her based on this fact. The Shokhmansur District Court ruled under Article 73 of the Family Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, which provides for the removal of a child without depriving the parent of parental rights.
The minor was placed in a special republican institution and sent for education and upbringing.
