In January 2026, at the initiative of the Sughd Region Office of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held with the leadership, heads of departments and divisions, city and village jamoat chairmen, heads of subordinate institutions, as well as activists and residents of the Spitamen district. This was reported by the Agency's press center.


The event was held under the theme "The Address—A Guide to a Happy Future." During the meeting, Agency representatives provided a detailed explanation of the contents of the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was noted that this year's Address differs from previous ones in its new positive news, special features, positive development results in various areas of the country, and significant content and volume of information.
Agency representatives emphasized that the President's Address contains specific questions, instructions, and orders for the effective promotion of domestic and foreign policy, ensuring progress in the areas of economics and industry, energy, road construction and transportation, security and defense, law and order, healthcare, culture, science and education, social protection, and support for youth and women.
During the meeting, the speakers also provided a detailed explanation of the factors behind corruption and ways to combat it, measures to prevent corruption among employees in various sectors, the consequences of bribery, and the negative aspects of this phenomenon. Specific examples from previous investigations were provided. Participants were provided with detailed information on the requirements of current legislation and state anti-corruption programs.
The event was held in the format of an open dialogue with participants, which helped raise awareness among the public and government officials about the tasks of implementing the President's Address and the importance of adhering to anti-corruption regulations.
