President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon approved an official symbol dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The symbol is circular and gilded. Around the rim are the inscriptions in Tajik and English: "State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan" and the numbers "1991–2026."

The center of the symbol depicts the Istiklol Complex, which represents the revival of national statehood, freedom, and independence of Tajikistan. The sunlight-filled background reflects the peace and bright future of the republic.
The symbol also features mountains, glaciers, water, and green pastures, highlighting the country's natural wealth and the president's international initiatives on water resources and climate change. The depiction of roads, tunnels, and hydroelectric power plants symbolizes the country's achievements since independence and its strategic goals for further development.
The approved symbol is permitted to be used by government agencies and the media.
