In the city of Isfara in the Sughd region, work is underway to reclaim unused land and create intensive and super-intensive gardens. This was reported by the regional administration's press service .
During a working visit to Isfara, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda reviewed the progress of garden development and gave instructions on the efficient use of land and the development of horticulture and viticulture.



City entrepreneurs Abdurizo Abduakhadov and Sorbon Savridinov, acting on instructions from Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, decided to reclaim unused land for agricultural use and establish apricot, plum, apple, walnut, pistachio, almond, peach, and grape orchards on 600 hectares. A 2.5-kilometer water pipeline has been installed for this purpose. The produce will be export-oriented. The project will provide seasonal employment for approximately 300 local residents.
The regional chairman also visited the Amirkhon farm and reviewed the 2026 sowing plan. The total area under crops in the city's nine rural jamoats is 3,709 hectares, of which 3,026 hectares are for spring sowing. The main crops are corn, rice, legumes, sunflowers, tomatoes, carrots, and forage crops.






It is reported that modern gardens have been created on 44 hectares of land at the Amirkhon farm, and seedlings are planned for planting on another 43 hectares, bringing the total area of gardens to 87 hectares.
In addition, the management of Choykhonai Oriyon LLC plans to create intensive and super-intensive orchards covering 1,400 hectares in the Somoniyon microdistrict of Isfara. The project includes the construction of infrastructure facilities and the connection of water from the Isfara River. The initiative will provide approximately 5,000 local residents with permanent jobs.
Land leveling work is currently ongoing, and fruit tree planting will begin soon.
