Tajikistan's trade turnover with CIS countries has increased, according to Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Director of the Presidential Statistics Agency, during a press conference.
According to him, the country's foreign trade volume in 2025 increased by $124.1 million, representing a 12.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Nurmahmadzoda also cited data for December of the last two years. Thus, trade turnover with CIS countries in December 2025 increased by $163.9 million, or 42.3%, compared to the same period in 2024.
At the same time, the agency director noted that the volume of trade between Tajikistan and non-CIS countries decreased by $39.6 million, which is 6.4%.
Furthermore, exports have grown. By the end of 2025, they reached $2.4 billion, an increase of $540.5 million, or 27.7%.
It is reported that Tajikistan's main export partners are China – 21.1% of the total volume, the Netherlands – 16.3%, Switzerland – 13.3%, Uzbekistan – 11.1%, Russia – 9.7%, Turkey – 8.6%, Iran – 4.5%, Kazakhstan – 3.4%, Belgium – 3.3% and other countries.
According to the agency, imports also increased. In 2025, they amounted to $8.3 billion. This represents an increase of $1.2 billion, or 18.5% compared to 2024.
