US President Donald Trump said he opposes Israel's actions aimed at expanding its control over the West Bank, Interfax reports.
"I'm against annexation," he told Axios, adding that "there are plenty of other things to think about right now" besides the West Bank.
Earlier, the portal, citing US officials, reported that Washington was concerned about the Israeli security cabinet's decision to significantly expand control over the West Bank, including areas under Palestinian Authority control.
"A stable West Bank ensures Israel's security and is consistent with this administration's goal of achieving peace in the region," a White House official said.
