In 2025, Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $10.74 billion, an increase of $1.81 billion compared to $8.93 billion in 2024. This was announced at a press conference by Karimzoda Khurshed Abdurakhmon, Head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Imports of goods reached $8.30 billion, an increase of $1.30 billion compared to the previous year ($6.99 billion). Exports totaled $2.44 billion, $504.3 million higher than the 2024 level ($1.94 billion). Imports accounted for 77.2% of foreign trade turnover, while exports accounted for 22.8%.
The volume of humanitarian aid received by the republic amounted to 63.4 million dollars, which is 46.3 million dollars less than the 2024 figure (109.7 million dollars).
Export structure
The main share of exports was made up of:
minerals and concentrates – $618.0 million;
antimony and antimony products – $450.0 million;
unwrought aluminum – $207.8 million;
cotton fiber – $142.1 million;
electricity – $97.7 million;
fruit and vegetable products – $76.1 million;
cotton yarn – $25.0 million;
cement – $16.1 million;
leather – $2.5 million.
Export growth was recorded to the Netherlands – by $294.4 million, to Russia – by $144.4 million, to China – by $114.4 million, to Uzbekistan – by $87.0 million, to Belgium – by $78.8 million, to Belarus – by $1.8 million, to Kyrgyzstan – by $8.5 million.
At the same time, exports to Kazakhstan decreased by $112.3 million, to Afghanistan by $20.7 million, to Turkey by $24.8 million, to Pakistan by $5.2 million, to the UAE by $3.3 million, and to Iran by $1.7 million.

lumber – $249.2 million;
liquefied gas – $238.8 million;
mobile phones – $146.7 million;
sugar – $117.5 million;

aluminum oxide (alumina) – $101.8 million;
poultry meat – $46.0 million;
mineral fertilizers – $44.9 million;
electricity – $21.6 million;
flour – $16.2 million.
Imports increased from China by $730.2 million, from Russia by $349.0 million, from Iran by $109.0 million, from the UAE by $41.6 million, from South Korea by $50.5 million, from Kazakhstan by $10.0 million, from Belarus by $47.9 million, from Uzbekistan by $49.1 million, from Germany by $36.6 million, from Japan by $16.2 million, and from Argentina by $20.2 million.
A decrease in imports was noted from Switzerland – by $292.2 million, from Pakistan – by $9.9 million, from Italy – by $12.9 million, from Turkey – by $0.6 million.
Customs payments
The customs payment plan for 2025 was approved at 10.41 billion somoni. The actual revenue collected by the state budget was 12.72 billion somoni, which is 2.31 billion somoni higher than the plan and 2.97 billion somoni higher than the 2024 target (9.75 billion somoni).
Revenue increased:
for VAT – by 729.7 million somoni;
for customs duties – by 608.6 million somoni;
on export duties – by 205.9 million somoni;
for excise taxes – by 143.6 million somoni;
for non-tax revenues – by 743.5 million somoni.
