The seventeenth meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Council was held in Dushanbe, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Public-Private Partnership Council, Khokim Khikmatullo Kholikzoda. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Council – Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, members of the Council – the Ministers of Justice, Finance, Economic Development and Trade, the Chairmen of the State Committees for Land Management and Geodesy, Architecture and Construction, the Deputy Director of the State Institution "Center for the Implementation of Public-Private Partnership Projects", the Head of the Communications Service, the Deputy Chairman of the Sughd Region, as well as the Chairmen of the cities of Istaravshan and Buston.


The meeting addressed issues related to the further development of public-private partnership mechanisms, improving the regulatory framework, and attracting greater private investment into the national economy.
Four new public-private partnership projects were presented during the discussion. Following a comprehensive review, appropriate implementation decisions were made.
The projects are planned in priority social and infrastructure sectors—healthcare, education, communications, and culture. The total funding exceeds 82.5 million somoni and will be entirely funded by the private sector. Their implementation is expected to improve the quality of services and develop social infrastructure.
It was noted that the public-private partnership mechanism is one of the priority areas of state economic policy and, through mutually beneficial cooperation between the state and business, contributes to the development of infrastructure, improvement of the investment climate, and increased competitiveness of the economy.
