A case has been opened against the manager of the city's electricity distribution network in Isfara for illegally using electricity, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
As a result of operational investigative measures carried out by police officers, it was established that a 42-year-old resident of the city of Isfara, who works as a technical manager for electricity distribution networks in Isfara, in the period from May 2022, using his official powers, on November 2, 2025, he knowingly used electricity from the electricity meter of Se Gyanzh LLC in Isfara.
The company was registered on September 4, 2024, by chief specialists of the Main Directorate of the Regional State Agency for Energy Control of the Sughd Region in Isfara. Until April 3, 2025, the electricity meter readings were 0.00 kilowatt-hours. Subsequently, over the course of seven months, 235,929 kilowatt-hours of electricity were illegally used.
The amount of damage caused is 217 thousand 587 somoni 88 dirams.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. An investigation is ongoing.
