Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir met with Natasha Crampton, Vice President and Head of Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Microsoft Corporation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. The Minister noted that, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, a special UN General Assembly resolution on the development of artificial intelligence in Central Asia was adopted last year. In this context, he emphasized, the partnership with Microsoft plays a key role in the development of new AI technologies in Tajikistan.


The talks focused on the implementation of hyperscale cloud infrastructure and data centers for AI computing using Azure in the Republic of Tajikistan, cooperation in implementing responsible artificial intelligence within the framework of the Area AI special zone project, and the implementation of educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence.
Natasha Crampton emphasized Microsoft's interest in deepening cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence with the Republic of Tajikistan and expressed its readiness to support joint initiatives in this area.
