The National Museum of Tajikistan held the grand opening of the celebratory exhibition "Representing the Courage and Bravery of Tajik Sons in the National Museum's Exhibits," dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan. Officers and soldiers from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, and the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the event, NIAT Khovar reported, citing the National Museum.
Museum Director Zafarsho Ibrohimzoda spoke to event participants about the history of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan and their role in ensuring the country's security, peace, and stability.


The exhibition presents for the first time paintings by artists from the National Museum collection, including works by A.N. Kamelin "The Battle of Spitamenes against Alexander the Great", E.G. Burtsev "Border Guards", K. Yodgorova "The Light of a Distant Star", M. Abdukodirov "Portrait of Ismoili Somoni", M. Khoshmukhammedov "Temurmalik", D. Ilyabaev "The Battle of Rustam with Isfandiyor", I. Lisikov "The Guardian of Law and Order", S. Sheraliev "Meeting. The Soldier Returned Home", S. Kurbonov "Portrait of General Tashmukhamedov", M. Kanayan "On the Border", L. Khushvakhtov "Border Guard", A. Besperstov "The Return of the Son", S. Rakhimov "Portrait of the First Group of Women of the Tajik Militia" and other works of Tajik fine art. The presented works tell about the valor and courage of the defenders of the ancestral land.
In honor of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Museum has decided to welcome 2,200 officers and soldiers free of charge from February 19 to 23 to view the celebratory exhibition. Museum staff will conduct tours for them, allowing them to learn more about the history and culture of the Tajik people.
