On February 25, 2026, a side event was held in Geneva as part of the high-level segment of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council. The Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the State of Qatar and with the support of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, held the event on the theme "Youth and Artificial Intelligence: Shaping the Future of Human Rights." This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by the permanent representatives of Tajikistan, Qatar, and the Gulf Cooperation Council to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
Also speaking on the event's theme were Tomas Lamanauskas, Deputy Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union; Hakim Ismoilzod, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, who presented a video message; and other participants.
