The Sughd Region is taking steps to implement its fourth national goal—accelerating the country's industrialization and strengthening its export potential. In this regard, construction of a logistics center is ongoing in the Sughd Free Economic Zone. This is expected to contribute to the development of industry infrastructure, create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs, and increase domestic exports, according to the Sughd Region administration's press service.
During a tour of the construction site, Sughd Region Governor Rajab Akhmadzoda instructed those responsible to expedite the work and ensure the facility's commissioning within the established timeframe. He emphasized that such centers play a key role in strengthening the production and export chain and reducing transportation costs.
It is reported that industrial performance in Sughd Region increased in 2025. During this period, measures were implemented to restore idle capacity and launch production of new, competitive, and import-substituting products. Industrial production volume amounted to 39.1 billion somoni, an increase of 8.8 billion somoni compared to the same period in 2024 at comparable prices. The industry's growth rate, adjusted for the price index, reached 123.5%, and 265 new products were launched.






Donai Almos, a limited liability company operating in the Sughd Free Economic Zone, processes and packages dried fruits and has established exports to neighboring and non-CIS countries. The company's products are exported to Turkey, Germany, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.
During a visit to the enterprise, Regional Governor Rajab Akhmadzoda assessed its operations and noted the state and government's support for industrial development, job creation, and increased exports. He emphasized that the creation of such enterprises helps provide citizens, especially women, with permanent jobs. The enterprise's employees expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for its support and the conditions created.
In anticipation of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence, hundreds of new industrial enterprises and workshops are planned for construction in Sughd Region. In 2025, 146 new enterprises and workshops were commissioned in the region, creating 1,497 permanent jobs. Construction work is currently ongoing at a number of production facilities.
In particular, in the Sughd FEZ, the limited liability company Saire Sughd is constructing a new industrial enterprise, where it plans to establish the production of various types of bicycles.



It is noted that the Sayr Sughd plant, which was commissioned in November 2024, is producing children's toys and electric scooters. The second phase of the project is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Leader of the Nation and will be commissioned following the completion of construction.
The Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajab Akhmadzoda, gave instructions to responsible officials on the implementation of projects.
Currently, 46 entities engaged in manufacturing, construction and service activities are registered in the Sughd FEZ.
In 2025, the volume of export products of the subjects of the Sughd FEZ amounted to 201.5 million somoni, which is 145.5 million somoni more than in the previous year.
The products of industrial enterprises of the Sughd Free Economic Zone are exported to almost fifteen countries, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Iraq, Turkey and Georgia.
